Auf Chateau Grand Puy-Lacoste wurde der Grundstein für eine große Weinbautradition im Jahr 1743 gelegt. Das Kapitel moderner Weinbaugeschichte wurde 1978 eröffnet, als Jean-Eugéne Boire, Inhaber des Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, Grand Puy-Lacoste erwarb. Unter der Leitung seines Sohns, Xavier, entwickelte sich das Weingut zu einem der führenden Weingüter in Pauillac. Nach einer traditionellen Weinbereitung wird der Grand Puy-Lacoste 18-20 Monate in neuen Eichenfässern ausgebaut; großes Potenzial.
